We had persuasive speaking workshop this morning. We first watched some videos on different talks and figured about some skills to speak persuasively. We learnt that we should focus on our audiences while speaking and the problem-solution relationship. We should target on the benefits and features too. We had different activities such as choosing our audiences and roleplaying to persuade others. We developed some skills during the activities and we can make use of the skills in the future.
After lunch , we have the engineering lesson which we talked about the properties and behaviour of light. We had already briefly touched on this topic in our physics lesson. However, in this lesson we definitely experience something new and mysterious. In today's lesson, we did 5 experiments about light. The most tricky and interesting one is about the birefring materials and polarisation. Also, we made our own hologram. It was really an inspiring and funny lesson.
After dinner we gathered in French House to work on the global solution project. We first presented our ideas by group, then started to organise and type it out in the computer. We typed it out using word and PowerPoint and also searched for photos and chart. We also seemed help from councillors and professors to improve our ideas. They provided many useful advices for us. Although it was a bit rush, we finally finished our target for today.
