Today is the big day of our study tour, multi-cultural night. The event is to let people from different countries to communicate and interacted so that
 we can be friends and learn about each others' culture. We are able to learn from our classmates and exchange students from the French House, that we should step out of our comfort zone and voice out our opinion. During the culture night, each group has presented their own performances and held their booths. Some of them taught visitors Chinese games and did puppet shows. Our group did Chinese calligraphy and it means a lot to us as we spent nights and nights, days and days preparing for it and it was a big success. We asked for guests' English names and we translated them into Chinese and write them out in calligraphic words. They were very interested in Chinese calligraphy and they appreciated our hard work and outcome. We are very grateful and touched that our guests are satisfied and glad that we created the happiness for them. At night, we held a dancing night. It was extremely fun as every single one of us are devoted into the event and walked out of our comfort zone. We danced, we sang loudly and we followed others' dance moves which is really enjoyable and was a memorable night for us. 

We attended the Legal Studies lesson today. We had a Mock Trial and it was educational and fun. We learnt a lot of skills and we were all trying to be courageous and we have developed our critical thinking skills as well as our speaking skills. It was a precious experience and we had all enjoyed it. At night, we had a global project meeting and our groups were working efficiently. Our progress was good and we enjoyed working with our groupmates who came from different countries.  They were all friendly and we exchanged our ideas happily. This was an extraordinary experience and we all paid our full  attention to it. We learned that we should be brave in expressing our ideas and be creative and effective. We enjoyed all the time and we are looking forward to the next day- going to the Great America!
Today, we went to the Great America amusement park. We were all really excited about it as we can finally take a break from the classes and have fun for a whole day. The rides are very thrilling and it is much larger and the theme parks in Hong Kong. We get to experience the local amusement park and we had more opportunity to understand the lives of the Americans. Although we all enjoyed ourselves today, sometimes we did not follow the instructions of the councillors carefully and we were nearly late for the meeting time. Luckily, we got to catch the cable car and we did not get late. We've learnt to be more aware of the time and to manage them better. We think this is a really precious experience and we are very thankful to the councillors for taking care of us the whole day and making this field trip possible.

July 13th Melanie Ip Janet Lee Dorothy Ma Christine Lum   We attended a visual design class with Bill Scott and together created a get well soon card for our friend. Rather than copying the pictures directly from the internet, we were encouraged to be imaginative. We modified our original drawings of animals and stuck it onto the card. Furthermore, we were instructed to use pen instead of pencils. We learnt that making mistakes is a part of life and we should not be intimidated by this fact. After, we played a game where we rearranged letters, from an original word and made different words from it, sone in different languages. We also had neuroscience after that and we learnt more about that subject as most of us didnt have any idea of what it is. July 16th Melanie Ip Greta Lam Janet Lee Christine Lum Dorothy Ma We went on a field trip to San Francisco Bay Area where we spent most of our day. First we took a 2 hour bus tour around the city. During the tour we got to see the whole city of San Francisco and listened to the brief history of the city told by the tour guide. The Golden Gate Bridge was also a highlight of the bus tour. The wind was exceptionally strong and we can rarely experience it anywhere else. We also took a few photos before we continued our trip. We also had two hours of free time after the bus tour, so that we could walk around Fisherman's Wharf. We had a great lunch of seafood, soup and bread and it was delicious. There was also a large number of shops in the Fisherman's Wharf. Since we had some time left we shopped around and bought some souvenirs. Another great thing that we had the chance to see sea lions. We rarely see them in hk except in ocean park and it was a great exoerience for us...

Today is such a special Wednesday! We had a field trip with packed activities. In the morning, we played iFly, a memorable experience with professional instruct. After that, we even learned some physics principles to give a detailed explanation of our flight. We really took a lot from such exciting and unforgettable activity which we could never have back in Hong Kong! After lunch, we had a talk on the administration of Standford University and we learned about the detailed information for application of the university. The Stanford University is such a beautiful place, we really hope that we can continue our study there. In the evening, we had a bonfire. The sunset was magical, we had loads and loads of pictures there. It has been a pity that we did not get ourselves some smores, but it was surely a precious experience to enjoy the view and the weather!
