We attended a visual design class with Bill Scott and together created a get well soon card for our friend. Rather than copying the pictures directly from the internet, we were encouraged to be imaginative. We modified our original drawings of animals and stuck it onto the card. Furthermore, we were instructed to use pen instead of pencils. We learnt that making mistakes is a part of life and we should not be intimidated by this fact. After, we played a game where we rearranged letters, from an original word and made different words from it, sone in different languages. We also had neuroscience after that and we learnt more about that subject as most of us didnt have any idea of what it is. We also learnt many interesting topics regarding neuroscience and we were all intrigued. After classes we prepared for multicultural night. The event was really fun as we got to learn about the cultures and history of a few different countries, for example Brazil, Cyprus, Singapore and China. We played different games and tried out different kinds of food. After that, we had a dance party out at the basketball court at the backyard of 1047, our house at stanford. There was music, and the students and counselors danced to it. There was a lot of fun and laughter and all of us enjoyed the evening

First, we attended a lesson about environmental science. To start of our class, we discussed the difference between climate and weather, and learnt that climate is measured over a long period of time of a certain region while weather is over a short period of time. Then we learnt more on climate change. We were given charts as references to understand more on the effects of climate change, for example an increase in CO2 causes an increase in temperature, leading to the melting of ice in poles and increasing sea level.  Near the end of the lesson, we learnt ways to lessen our CO2 and reduce global warming. We will try our best to include the power saving ways into our lives and help conserve energy.
Then we had sounscape lesson in the afternoon. We learnt how ecologists can observe the changes of animals in the wild by listening to the sounds. Then we went out of the classroom to listen to the sounds of Stanford. We heard footsteps, cycling, water gushing from fountains and many more. We never knew that sounds can tell us so many things about the nature and really widened our horizons. Afterwards, we had activities in French House. There were painting, henna, making bracelets and ball games. Then we discussed on our global project and made good progress on our islands. We enjoyed the discussion with our groupmates from different countries a lot.

On day six, we went to Great America which is an amusement park. We were all excited and looked forward to this experience.  Some of us played the rides with more excitement and some of us played small rides instead. We challenged our limits and tried on rollercoaster which we never had the courage to try on it in Hong Kong. We gained confidence through it and were really proud of ourselves. On the other hand, we also went to the water park with various slides and we all enjoyed ourselves. We tried some slides which more than one people can play together and this is truly an unforgettable memory for all of us.We are amazed and delighted all day.
